Reporting to the President of Defense Solutions Sector, the Vice President will oversee a management team tasked with delivering solutions on time and within budget while working to find areas of growth and new business. The Vice President will have frequent interaction with the customers as well as delivering progress and financial reports to the senior leadership of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. This includes developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing strategic business plans; understanding the business concerns and issues faced by the Air Force; and building and delivering business solutions that delight the customer.
This person must be a seasoned, yet progressive leader with the proven ability to establish strong relationships with key members of the Air Force as well as internally with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s executive team. She/he will lead the
successful operation, execution and management of provided solutions and promote their evolution on a mission-focused basis. The ability to orchestrate the technical strengths of the team with the strategic objectives of the group will be critical.
This executive must be a force for progress in the business, streamlining operations and further developing a unified culture within the business. He/she must be comfortable evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the team collaboratively and act decisively to foster an environment where superior quality of work and predictable revenue growth can be achieved. Objectivity and honesty will be essential in determining the trajectory of the group. This leader will take all of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s capabilities to the Air Force customer. She/he will also anticipate shifts in the market and position the company to take full advantage of the changes. This includes creating new solutions and offerings to meet the developing needs of customers. While driving growth in the market, he/she will continue to evaluate and evolve to meet the challenges of the market.
This VP will be highly collaborative and able to provide guidance and contribute to discussions and plans related to the entire company. This executive should also have strong personal brand with visibility in the market and with customers.
Specific responsibilities to include:
Assume full P&L management of Air Force operations
Provide insights, recommendations and support for the overall strategy for the Air Force, including how to represent **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s broad capabilities with the customer.
With the business development team, this person will provide input on and participate in the execution of the organic growth plan including identifying target clients and key executives, leveraging and partnering with the existing customer base and capitalizing on thought leadership development and market visibility opportunities.
Identify, evaluate and recommend acquisition targets to the SVP and the CEO
Develop and lead a high performing team that is known for meeting and exceeding objectives and is proactive in creating opportunities within national security
Collaborate with peers to leverage relevant solutions with other customers
This person should be a potential successor to the President of Defense Services Sector. While the current leader has no intent to leave the position in the near future, he would like for this person to currently possess the business acumen and experience to assume his responsibilities at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***..
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have the following demonstrated experience, knowledge, skills and abilities to include:
15 years of experience in federal government contracting environments with at least 10 of those years in roles of increasing managerial responsibility
Successful general management of portfolios greater than $150M in revenue
A strong business acumen with profit and loss responsibility is essential, as is demonstrated strategic thinking that moves an organization forward in terms of financial growth and customer reach
Deep knowledge of the Air Force missions, organizations, operations and performance
Specific knowledge of complex IT solutions to include: advanced data analytics, automation, machine learning, cybersecurity, agile software development, and high-end systems engineering and integration as relevant to the Air Force
Proven track record of growth within a similar business
Strong quantitative knowledge: fluency in key performance indicators and relevant performance metrics
Ability to develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities within targeted defense accounts that demonstrates a strong understanding of the technology trends, values and needs, as well as buying habits of the customer
Able to effectively diagnose client needs, propose and develop solutions that have measurable and positive business impact
Superior people management skills including direct experience with the processes and disciplines associated with a large, complex business supporting the Air Force. Interact effectively with employees and all levels of management in identifying and resolving complex issues
Proven ability to partner with the business development team to ensure coordinated and proactive connection with key customers in order to shape and develop qualified business opportunities
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build win-win partnerships externally with customers and within the corporation with a focus on understanding how to leverage technology differentiators
The ability to constructively influence and interact at the highest levels of the corporate structure is required
Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex business issues and must have experience in budgetary planning and implementation including financial reporting oversight
Demonstrated success in holding their teams accountable for outstanding performance as well as in recruiting and retaining top talent
Strong communication skills and executive presence
The position is focused on the Air Force. Previous experience with the Air Force IT, Space or Cyber organizations is required

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Scientific, Engineering, or Information Technology field; an advanced degree Masters / MBA is strongly preferred.
Colorado Salary Minimum: $160,368.00
Colorado Salary Maximum:$342,846.40
