About Our Job
Employment Requirement:

This is an on-call position which will work no more than 39 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits. On-call positions may have routine or variable work schedules.
Due to rising interest in My Denver Prime and Silver Sneakers programming, Active Older Adults
(AOA) is looking to hire a part-time Administrative Support Assistant to join their team. The AOA team is committed to creating positive change for the Denver community and is looking for an Administrative Support Assistant to help further their mission.
Denver Parks & Recreation's Active Older Adults program engages adults ages 50 in wellness, exercise, and leisure activities that support healthy aging. AOA programming includes fitness, day trips, lunch trips, drop-in activities, clubs, and much more!
Job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Utilize membership tracking systems to input data, create, edit, and compile reports
Work with insurance companies to report/track program attendance, membership participation, and other necessary information for tracking and billing purposes
Audit current membership and other department accounts to ensure up-to-date and accurate information, and to maximize member benefits
Coordinate and support functions for AOA activities such as pickleball tournaments, fitness classes, special events, and much more
Provide exceptional customer service through phone, e-mail, and in-person; provide individuals with program information and assist with registration
Oversee program equipment inventory and transport equipment to and from recreation centers
Provide onboarding support for new staff and track/monitor current employee certifications
Perform other related duties as assigned
About You
Our ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who is adept with prioritization and time management. The incumbent must have a passion for working with older adults and must possess superior customer service and phone/email etiquette skills.
Additionally, our ideal candidate will possess: Experience and proficiency with the following programs: ACTIVE Net and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with coordinating, planning or assisting in the operations of recreation programming
Experience working in a customer service setting
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
A growth mindset and must value development and learning
We realize that your time is valuable, so please do not apply unless you meet the following minimum qualifications: Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Experience: Two (2) years of clerical experience.
Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
