NOTE: This is an on-call position which will work no more than 39 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits. On-call positions may have routine or variable work schedules.

About Denver Digital Services
Denver Digital Services (DGS) enhances customer experience citywide by aligning digital technologies with traditional marketing and communications efforts. DGS manages and promotes the City's priority messaging, brand identity, website, digital marketing platforms, and Denver 8 TV, the City's municipal television station. DGS provides marketing and video production resources to city agencies and departments, as well as administration of the City's cable franchise and public education access agreements.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team.
As the Digital Content Producer, you will lead and manage multiple projects and plan, produce, research, write, edit, and coordinate small portable shot video segments and products for our social media pages and broadcasts on platforms such as Denver8 TV. You will also be tasked with proposing video ideas and providing creative insight on content produced on behalf of the city and our partners.
Additionally, the Digital Content Producer:
Collaborates with directors/editors and clients during the creative content process and develops the concept, format, and content for assigned projects and/or programs. Discusses themes for new studio, remote, field, live, and recorded productions
Researches, reviews, and analyzes governmental issues and develops presentation concepts, formats, and content (including scripts, reports, and support materials)
Prepares production budgets and monitors resources for each production
Determines production schedules and procedures; resolves problems that arise during the production process
Directs the look of graphics and the overall visual content for the production; inputs and operates electronic titling systems when necessary
Ensures production standards are being met and maintained
Documents topical and historical City events and delivers to the audience in news, feature, or promotional format
Prepares, encodes, and archives programs for streaming on the city website then manages the agenda, contact, and other relevant information for each production
Performs other related duties as assigned
About You
We are looking for someone with some or all the following skills and experience:
Experience with Short-Form Video Production and Snippet production
Social Media account management and content experience
The ability to be flexible and on-call as necessary
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or Final Cut Pro
Basic HTML knowledge
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred

Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Television Production, Digital Filmmaking & Video Production, or a related field.
Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional experience planning, producing, and coordinating television documentary, magazine, or news shows.
Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
